Wii Error - Great Nintendo Customer Service

," There is a problem with the Wii connect 24 service. Please try again later"  I accessed Nintendo.com and browse through the Wii customer service section and found a page to enter the error code. 

The result gave me a number to resolve the issue.  I dialed the number and followed the telephone menus to connect with a nintendo rep.  He said that error code is caused by corrupted firmware and gave me 2 options.  The 1st option was for me to send my Wii to a specific address and they would send me a new one.  Option 2 consist of them sending me a Wii first, and then I send the lemon back within 21 days.  Option 2 only requires an address, serial number, and credit card number for their files.  I chose option 2 and he gave me an O/N and I can track my order online at nintendo.com.
