Wiimote Exposed: Inside the Wii Controller

So you have not had to send the result of a Wiimote bowling roll  gone crazy picture to wiihaveaproblem.com.  That is great to hear. The folks over at Spark Fun Electronics have pulled apart the Wii Contoller to take look at what makes it tick, but they were not able to figure out why so many peole have such a hard time holding onto the Wiimote.

The images below should probably be prefaced with "Do not attempt the following at home.  This was done by professionals."  I am not a firmware programming guy, but it is always cool to take a look inside a fine piece of electronics and see what helps it do what it does.  From the article over at Spark Fun:

you will get a personal tour inside and around the molded plastic you wield to defeat your uncoordinated opponent. It makes for some interesting reading and also makes you wish you would of taken some eletrical engineering in college, versus kicking everyone's tail in Perfect Dark(I miss the laptop gun).
